"To take photographs is to hold one's breath when all faculties converge in the face of fleeing reality. It
is at that moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical
and intellectual joy."
-Henri Cartier Bresson
"Simply look with perceptive eyes at the world about you, and trust to your own reactions and
convictions. Ask yourself: "Does this subject move me to feel, think and dream? Can I visualize a print
- my own personal statement of what I feel and want to convey - from the subject before me?"
-Ansel Adams
Living in coastal Maine for my entire life has greatly influenced me in the 20+ years
I have been making photographs. I feel very fortunate to have been surrounded by
not only natural beauty, but wonderful family, friends and mentors. These people
have helped me develop into a person who loves how the camera lets me see in a
different way and express my vision of the world around me through photography.
I have been fortunate enough to have been mentored by both Henry Levy of New
York and architectural photographer, and Bernard C. Meyers, an internationally
recognized master of Cibachrome printing who lives and works in Portland.

I make photographs in B&W, color and infrared mediums and will do any of those
on request.
I find taking portraits and shooting events not only interesting, but a rewarding
creative process in which I try to capture the essence of a moment, place or person.
Please take a look at my portfolio pages for examples of my work on weddings,
portraits and fine art.
